The WFL III PureTone shells are 100% maple shells constructed of custom cut plies of North American hard maple. These Nordic shells are sourced here in the US, out of Michigan. The Bass Drums are configured with 7 plies, which turns out to be a thin, but punchy 4.9 mm. The added plies give more focused tone out of the bass drum, allowing it to cut through the mix, while staying in your control.
